Carl D. Perkins holds Spring Graduation for Eighteen students.

Perkins held its Spring graduation on March 28, at the center. With 18 graduates participating and over 45 family members attending. Some traveling as far from  Ohio, and  West. Virginia. Perkins is beginning a year of celebrations with the 50th Anniversary of the Job Corps Program coming up in April, 2015.

Former Job Corps graduate, and retired KY State Police Trooper Les Stapelton, talked to students about his experiences as a Job Corps student and the Sills that he acquired in the Carpentry  trade enabled him to be able to retire early due to working in construction business with his skills to fall back on.

A reception was held following the graduation in the cafeteria for the graduates and their families. Several family members were brought to tears, when they talked about their children and how the Job Corps program had changed their lives. This also reflects why we are coming up on our 50th Anniversary, continuing to show that “Job Corps Works”!
