On April 1st, the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps center partners with the city of Pikeville, for Work Base Learning(WBL) and Leisure Time Employment (LTE) opportunities. The Security and Protective Services (SPS) students will be working several Spring and Summer events with the city to  handle parking, crowd control and other duties. The students first big event, will happen starting  with the city’s annual “Hill Billy Day’s” beginning on April 24th. This event will draw thousands of people from all over the United States, and will give the students this valuable on the job training,  and real life work experience!
