The Charleston Job Corps Center held its quarterly Community Relations Council Meeting (CRC) on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the center gymnasium. The Charleston Job Corps Center welcomes newest members Ray Woods, WV Bureau of Senior Services, Michelle Norweck, Fair Shake Network (FSN) and Sarah Stanley, Western Regional CASA. The agenda included presentations from the Center Director’s Office, Social Development and Career Transition Readiness, Outreach and Admissions Contractor, Cornerstone Solutions by Daphyne Smith, Project Director. During public comment presentations were given by Lisa Moore, WV Career Transition Services Director on their upcoming job fair and Michelle Norweck, Executive Director, FSN for the partnership linkage with the Charleston Job Corps Center and FSN disability initiatives. Tia Welch, Business Community Liaison informed members that Charleston Job Corps Center is highlighted for its Community Connections, Partnership Linkages, Community Service Projects, Congressional Support, Gold Star Status, Positive Media Attention and Active CRC and Center Industry Council (CIC). A special thanks to the caterer, Meticulous for providing a Mexican feast for the luncheon. Our next CRC Quarterly Membership meeting will be held July 2014.
