2014 Blood Drive
Cleveland Jobs Corps Center’s Medical Assistant’s trade held an Ameri-can Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday May 21, 2014, that was a success. The Medical Assistant trade didn’t come to play; they were very persistent in the recruiting process working diligently to acquire new candidates and sign-up returning donors. Representatives from The American Red Cross (AMC) stated that they were very impressed with the mannerism and professional behavior of our students. On several occasions, AMC commented about how much they enjoyed working with the Cleveland JCC students. The Medical Assistant trade stu-dents did an excellent job; they had 72 people that signed up and had 35 pints that were donat-ed. This means that around 76 lives might be saved due to the generous donations of our cen-ter staff and students. To the surprise of returning donor Deputy Director, Mike Salazar and the Cleveland JCC community Center Director, William Houston even donated for the first time. The Medical Assistant trade would like to extend our thanks to all those who continue to donate, our new donors, and to everyone that supported our cause. Thank you for once again assisting us in saving lives and for making our Blood Drive a huge success. We hope to see you in July 2014 for our next Blood Drive.
