Former 1977 Job Corps Graduates speaks at Muhlenberg Job Corps

In 1977, Mr. Bobby Johnson was a high school drop out, with no family support, could not read or write, and knew he needed to do something better for his life. This is when he turned to the Job Corps program and enrolled at the Breckinridge Job Corps Center in Morganfield, Kentucky (now known as the Earle C. Clements Job Corps). With the guidance and instruction he received, he was able to successfully pass the ASVAB test and enroll into the military.

Mr. Johnson stated his daughter completed her nursing certifications and graduated from a Job Corps in Texas. Johnson shared with the students “there is a big difference between success and failure, and the difference is, your decisions. I encourage you to make the right decisions to have a successful life. Your entry into the Job Corps was a right decision you made for yourself.”

Mr. Johnson served over twenty six years in the Military, retiring in 2005. He now travels with a government contracted company, Engineer Solution Products teaching software programs at military training sites.
