Alaska Job Corps helps with Alaska State Fair Parade

The Palmer Police and Alaska State Troopers were assisted by the Protective Services students on Saturday, August 29. Thousands of visitors and fair goers flocked to town to see the official State Fair Parade wind itself through downtown Palmer Alaska. Standing neatly in assistance were ten Job Corps Protective Services students.
This isn’t the first time they have helped the community. In the past three months they have helped protect forest firefighters, emergency operations, refugees from wildland fires, school groups, and government officials. These students receive extensive training in a variety of Protective Services curriculum.
