Sierra Nevada Job Corps awarded “Top 12” Prize by Food Bank
Job Corps students, who worked all year long sorting and packing food donations for local people in need, were feted at a lavish  luncheon at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada’s USA Parkway distribution center.  SNJCC placed second out of all the volunteer organizations, missing first place by only eight service hours. A special plaque honoring the students’ efforts has been affixed to a wall of honor at the Food Bank.
Mary Burdick, Volunteer Coordinator, lauded SNJCC staffer/organizer Kristy O’Sullivan “for her hard work, attention to detail, and willingness to get her hands dirty.”
