Jacksonville Job Corps Continue to Celebrate Y2Y

The Jacksonville Job Corps Center continues to engage in youth2youth activities to bring awareness to the issues of violence and bullying.  During the week the center participated in a center wide commitment drive by requesting all staff and students to sign and commit to the pledge.  The Y2Y committee added an additional 226 commitment cards to the 53 completed on September 14th for a total of 279 commitments for peace on our center and in our community.

The Y2Y committee is committed to bring the message of peace to every aspect of the Jacksonville community.  In addition to the commitment drive to sign pledge cards, community service, on center T Shirt contest, student and staff volley ball games and oureach activities the committee has planned a host of outreach activities to united youth in an effort stopping the violence.

On Friday October 2, 2015 students and staff were adorned in the center wide Y2Y t-shirts to take a group photo in an act of solidarity and commitment to stopping the violence and spreading the message.
