Muhlenberg Job Corps is proud to brag on two current students, Danielle Kelly (from Phoenix City, Alabama) and Alex Chatman (from Jackson, Mississippi). They both recently passed their Commercial Driver License (Class B) exam!

Kelly is a female in a non-traditional trade who serves in a leadership role as dorm room captain. Kelly states, “Since I’ve been enrolled at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center I’ve learned to become selfish. I have learned to focus more on me, what I want, and to put more effort towards my career goals. By obtaining my CDL, I’ve just checked one of the many goals off my list.”

Chatman is also a leader on enter as he is vice president of his dorm and class foreman of the heavy industry driving trade. Chatman states, “To become successful, you must stay focused. It is very easy to get off focus and become redirected by negative situations. I strive daily to stay focused for positive outcomes in my life.”

Both students are being educated and trained under the instruction of Mr. Scottie Brooks. The heavy industry commercial drivers licensing trade is currently ranked #7 within the Job Corps nation.
