Most students hear the phrase “I’m going to give you a write up” and think it is a bad thing. But it doesn’t have to be. There are ways for staff to recognize the positive efforts of student on Center.

To illustrate that idea, Josh Collier, the Career Development Manger, issued a challenge to the Career Preparation Period stu-dents. It was a contest between the groups currently in CPP Weeks One, Two and Three to see which class could earn the most positives between Monday morning and Thursday afternoon. The winning class would enjoy a pizza party on Friday courtesy of Mr. Collier. The only rule was that their current classroom teacher could not be the one to write the positive.

On Thursday afternoon, the results were tallied, and it was a complete landslide. April Norman’s CPP Two Class demolished the competition. Her seven students racked up 12 positives in four days. Thank you, CPP Two students, for being so positive on Center.
