The week of January 19th Carl D. Perkins had two student Ambassadors that were selected to attend the National Youth 2 Youth (Y2Y) Listen and Learn Session with the National Director of Job Corps, Lenita Jacob-Simmons. Students Joanna Helton-Martinez and Karissa Perry-Wells student ambassadors for the Y2Y program at the Perkins Center, were involved in listen-and-learn workshops on to stop violence and Job Corps Centers. students shared and showed pictures of the various activities they have been involved in at the Perkins Center since the implementation of the program in August, 2015. Students also were provided ideas and new activities to take back and implement on center.
