Charleston Job Corps Center holds semi-annual Workforce Council Meeting-April 19, 2017

The Charleston Job Corps Center operated by Horizons Youth Services held it’s semi-annual Workforce Council Meeting, April 19, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the center gymnasium. Workforce Council representatives from Robert C. Byrd Institute of Advanced Manufacturing (RCBI), Workforce WV, WV One-Stop, BridgeValley Community and Technical College, Charleston Economic Community Development Corporation and WVSU Communications Dept. and WV Career Transition Services were on hand to hear presentations on center updates, CTT (Career Technical Training) performance and tour the CTT shop areas.

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The Charleston Job Corps Center is overseen by the Philadelphia Regional Office of Job Corps and is operated by Horizons Youth Services.
