Charleston Job Corps Center’s Y2Y observes Dr. MLK, Jr. Day of Service-Jan. 22, 2018

The Charleston Job Corps Center (CJCC), operating under Horizons Youth Services observed a Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Friday, January 22, 2018 at Piedmont Elementary School. Youth-2-Youth Campaign against Violence read stories and assisted children with coloring sheets of Dr. MLK, Jr. at Piedmont Elementary school with kindergarten and first grade classes totaling 150 students. Students attending were Robert Battice and Gabriel Williams accompanied by BCL and Y2Y coordinator Tia Welch.

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The Charleston Job Corps Center is overseen by the Philadelphia Regional Office of Job Corps and is operated by Horizons Youth Services.
