Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Advanced Security graduate talks with students about his career

Perkins Advanced Security graduate Marvin Lockett, 24 years old from Louisville, KY stopped by for a visit. Lockett completed Advanced Training in Security & Protective Services in October, 2017 and went straight to training for the KY State Reformatory. Lockett came to talk to the current class about his career as a correctional officer at the Kentucky State Reformatory located in LaGrange, Kentucky. Lockett informed students that It is a medium security facility under the administration of the Kentucky Justice Cabinet, Department of Correction and is the state’s second largest institution in term of inmate population with a 2005-bed capacity. He went on to say that he is proud to be working there and thanks Job Corps for the training and skills that he needed to be successful and living on his own.

Lockett, told students to work hard and stay focused on their career. Perkins would like to thank Marvin for coming back to Perkins to encourage other students.
