“I am becoming the woman I have always wanted to become, and it is a truly amazing feeling,” stated Aniquiana Kurtz. “I came, I saw, I conquered and now I am on to my next mission; like the great Maya Angelo says… STILL I RISE!” After graduating from the Cleveland Job Corps Center’s Pharmacy Technician program on August 17, 2018, Aniquiana acquired a job at Walgreens as a Pharmacy Technician.
The Forest Park High School graduate arrived at the Cleveland Job Corps Center on October 9, 2017. She obtained her Pharmacy Technician, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and National Healthcareer Association credentials. She joined the dance team, served on the Student Government Association, and received the August Work-Based Student of the Month award.

She contributes her success to her instructor for being extremely understanding and always willing to help. Having a huge support system and building relationships with staff really helped Aniquiana complete the program. “There’s so many I have to thank and each of them know who they are,” stated Aniquiana. “I will always have them to thank for my road to success, and this is only the beginning.”
Aniquiana aspires to become an author and an artist and plans to take it one step and goal at a time. Her goals have always been the same since she first walked through the gates, the only things that has really changed is the faith she has in herself and the faith she has in the universe. “Do not give up, do not give in,” recommends Aniquiana Kurtz. “Your entire life can be based on one right or one wrong decision.”
