Hawaii Job Corps Honors Top Employer & Community Partners

(WAIMANALO, Hawaii) The Hawaii Job Corps program trains approximately 350 young adults for the workforce each year. On Wednesday, January 19th, the center honored their Top Employer & Community partners with an awards ceremony and pupu reception at the Waimanalo campus. 

These businesses and community partners were recognized for their commitment to turning today’s youth into workers with a bright future. “Our employers and community partners provide students with unmatched career and life skills that will carry them into desirable, sustainable careers,” said Joann Espinosa, Center Director. “Through Job Corps, these businesses have made an outstanding commitment to Hawaii’s youth. They deserve our recognition.” 

The honorees are Mulkern Landscaping, WE Painting, Matson Navigation, USS Missouri, Windward Community College, Tripler Army Medical Center, Inland Boatmen’s Union,Star Protection Agency, Honolulu Community Action Program, Avalon Care Center, Leeward Community College, JN Automotive, Intercultural Communications College, and Hawaii Army National Guard.
