Alaska Job Corps Serves at Regional Economic Development Forum

The Alaska Job Corps Culinary Arts Class and Chef Williams prepared and served the luncheon at the June 27th Economic Development Workshop, hosted by Mat Su Borough Manager John Moosey. In addition to the State Economist, there were movers and shakers from all cities, borough, and government affiliations, large organizations, economic development groups, along with representatives from the U.S. Senators Murkowski and Sullivan.

This meal was a testimony to the Culinary students’ hard work and practice, in preparation for a Culinary career. Each student specifically introduced themselves and told the crowd their goals and motivations for secure employment.

Alaska Job Corps is operated by Chugach Government Solutions as part of their educational effort to provide training and safety to young adults in the National Job Corps program.
