Dayton Job Corps Center

The Dayton Job Corps and partner City Day has joined to help a homeless family. A home was donated to a family of 4, and the Dayton Job Corps students and City joined hands to assist with cleanning the home, lawn maintenance, move in and painting.

on 3/22/2011, Dayton Job Corps center 11 students participated in park clean up at Judge Aurthor Fisher Park.

3/25/2011 on Channel 2 WDTN talked about how the Dayton Regions employment has increased due to the job market and the help of Job Corps and the Job Center.

On Friday 15 Job Corps students participated in Wright States community HIV/Hep event.  There were games, food, fun and free testing for over 200 people in the community.

Mr. Thomas Quick, completed his Facility Maintenance trade  last week.  Today Mr. Quick began his first day of work at Air-tron Heating & Air Condition. His starting pay starts off at $10.00 per hour, after 90 days his pay will increase to $17-$20 per hour with a company van. Great Job!!!

Last week our Culinary Arts Department met with the American Federal Federation and other area Chefs who are apart of the USDA Lamb Board.  Our students teamed up with area Chefs and were taught how to prepare a Leg of Lamb.  Because of their participation 15 students obtained 1 hour of continuous credit.  Great Experience!!

The Dayton Job Corps helps another student gain employment prior to departure. Today Aisha Kershaw was offered employment after she work at her Work Base site for 1 month.
