Painting students from Flint Genesee Job Corps were glad to paint mural outside of Calvery Church for the upcoming Vacation Bible School for small children in the community. One June 29th, Flint Genesee Job Corps students volunteered to assist at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan by sorting and packing food items. Those items were also given to persons and families in the community in need and/or with special circumstances. The students appreciated being able to give back to the community.

Five students from the Hospitality Trade Class were recently hired at the Wiseman Pizza Restaurant. Students will be offering various services such as food prep, customer service, phone calls, greeting, and serving.
The Bishop Airport recently hired student in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, working with passengers with speacial needs. Flint Genesee Job Corps student will be assisting travelers needing wheelchairs, assistance on and off the plane, and various other services.
