On December 14, 2011, the Gulfport Job Corps Center held its annual oratory competition. Five contestants presented five minutes speeches on the topic, Job Corps Works and It Works For Me. The Gulfport Job Corps Center hosted a Holiday Celebration for the children in the local community. Staff members volunteered to purchase toys for the toy drive.
