Students and staff at the Hawaii Job Corps Center participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Five Mile Walk. “Team Job Corps” was 70 members strong and raised $1,166.00  for the American Cancer Society. The scenic route began at Richardson Field and wrapped around the air strip on Ford Island.

As 21 world leaders descended onto Waikiki for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum,three Job Corps culinary students were in the kitchen at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel preparing meals for APEC events. The culinary students gained valuable hands on  experience and had the opportunity to work alongside  some of Hawaii’s top chefs.
