Giving to make a difference

Submitted story to The Times Weekly in Joliet details the month-long activities at Joliet Job Corps that made up Make A Difference Month. We didn’t do one day … or even one week — we had volunteer activities twice a week the entire month.

Story in Nov. 16 Herald News talks about the Kickers program at Joliet Job Corps, a successful anti-smoking program, and the teacher who started the program. Story was pitched as a Great American Smokeout story. Staff photographer and staff reporter were very impressed with our program!

Joliet Times Weekly carries story about Adarious Dixon, a young man from Joliet who could find a job — but not a career. Now he has completed Office Administration and is enrolled in Pharmacy Tech and has a much brighter future — thanks to Job Corps.
