Loring SGA leaders and Honor Guard studnets participated in attend the opening day ceremonies of the Maine State Senate as guests of Maine State Senator Peter Edgecomb. The students witnessed the daily operations of the Maine Senate as well as presented the colors at the opening ceremonies

Loring Honor guard students participated in the Caribou VFW’s voice of democracy awards dinner in which the presented the colors at the opening ceremony and the congressional flag folding and presentation given to the State of Maine winner of the event

data integrity and records assistant Maggie Damboise Saucier selected at staff of the month for the Loring Center.  Maggie is not only a great staff member to the Loring team she is also a former student of the center graduating from the medical office support program in 2009 prior to attending college.

Loring was pleased to announce Jonathan Cobbs as the star student of the quarter. Jonathan was selected for his academic, vocational and leadership capabilities on and off center. Jonathan came to Loring from NYC to complete the Medical Office Support trade while having a goal of attending college to become an RN.

Loring student under the direction of HBI carpentry instructor James Hayes completed a project to build banner holders for the upcoming world cup biathlon which will be held in Northern Maine starting 8 Feb featuring teams from as far away as Russia

Loring Job Corps center hosted its annual Community relations meeting and dinner traditionally called the Evening with the North Stars. During the meeting the center awarded AMHC member Wendy Page as the community citizen of the year recipient for 2015 for her continued educational support to the students of the Loring Center
