HOOKS JOB CORPS STUDENTS HELPS WITH HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF

Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks Job Corps Center Student Government Association (SGA) members and other center students have been in the giving spirit this holiday season. Students were recently briefed about Hurricane Sandy; the disaster that hit the east coast. The students wanted to help make a difference and decided to contribute to the relief efforts. After much discussion, it was decided that money would be collected to donate to the American Red Cross. The SGA raised three hundred dollars ($300.00) through student contributions, and MINACT, Inc. matched their efforts.
