Carl D. Perkins Job Corps students win contest using their art and writing skills

Perkins Job Corps would like to congratulate winners of the Floyd County Conservation art and writing contest. Students take the knowledge they have gained and transform it into creative art work and essays after studying ways to conserve water. Students from Perkins participate in this annual contest held every year, however this year Perkins had 3 winners, 2 in the art and 1 in the writing. Perkins students Judeler, Noel Petit, and Celeste Barnett won with their water conservation artwork, and student Devonte Slaughter won with his short essay on water conservation. All Students received a monetary prize and certificate.
