On August 17, Carl D. Perkins celebrated National Commencement Day along with 124 other Job Corps Centers across the nation. Many friends and family attended the ceremony along with Adam Rice, field rep for Congressman Hal Rogers, and Dr. Chandra Varia attended as guest speakers for the event.

Rice praised the graduates for being courageous and victorious as they overcame often daunting challenges to get their education and job training.
