New agreement allows students to train at Job Corps half day

The partnership was finalized during the center’s recent Community Relations Council meeting when Floyd County School Superintendent Danny Adkins and Perkins Job Corps Center Director Paula Davis signed a memorandum of understanding outlining the co-enrollment agreement.

As co-enrolled students, Floyd County high school students are entitled to all the benefits of the Job Corps program. Floyd County students initially will enroll in the Facilities Maintenance career technical training program at Perkins Job Corps, but additional training programs will be added beginning in August.
