Friday December 12, 2015 Students from the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center along with Business Community Liaison Jimmie Slone dressed up in their Santa Hats ready to hit the streets of Prestonsburg for their annual Christmas parade. Students  singing Christmas Carols, while also promoting the program, that will celebrating 50 years of existence in April, giving out information about the Perkins Center to the Holiday Crowd.

Students followed the most popular man in the parade, good old St. Nick himself. After the parade the annual tree lighting was held and hot chocolate, cookies and fellowship at The Destination Community Church. This is an event the students always look forward to participating in, it puts them in the holiday spirit and gives a sense of belonging when they are far away from families for the holidays.
