Charleston Job Corps Center Go Red For Women Day-Feb. 2017

CJCC Go Red For Women

Charleston Job Corps Center staff wear Red to show support for the American Heart Associations, Go Red For Women Event officially observed Friday, Feb. 3, 2017.

According to the event site, “Cardiovascular disease in the U.S. kills approximately one woman every 80 seconds.” Many of the cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. We encourage women to take care of themselves by knowing their five (5) numbers which are: Total Cholesterol, HDL (good) Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar and Body Mass Index (BMI). Knowing your numbers and attending regular check-ups with a primary care physician can save your life. For additional information, please go to www.goredforwomen.org
