Charleston Job Corps Center Represents at NJCA Policy Forum-April 1-2, 2014
Tia Welch, Business Community Liaison for the Charleston Job Corps Center represented the center for the National Job Corps Association (NJCA) Policy Forum, April 1-2, 2014, Washington D.C. The forum included Business Community Liaisons, Center Directors, Center Operators/Contractors, Congressional Leaders and DOL representatives. The agenda included congressional speakers, breakout sessions and opportunities to visit congressional leaders on “the hill.” Job Corps is approaching its 50th Anniversary and many activities will be forthcoming across the nation. The Charleston Job Corps Center received a Gold Star, the highest recognition possible in the STAR Program for its many activities and endeavors facilitated by Tia Welch.
