Gabriel Williams, CJCC Student

Gabriel “Gabby” Williams is headed to Potomac Job Corps Center, Washington D.C. for advanced training in the TCU (Transportation Communication Union) program to further her training in the airline industry. She exits the center April 2, 2018.
Miss. Williams graduated from the Harper’s Ferry Job Corps Center with a career technical trade completion in office administration. Gabby waited one year between centers to ensure a spot in the advanced training program by coming to the Charleston campus.

At the Charleston Job Corps Center, she completed her training in Medical Office Support under the instruction of Jennifer Lester. Although she is shy native of Baltimore, MD; Gabby demonstrates perseverance, commitment and dedication. She completed her Work Based Learning assignment on-center as a switchboard operator in the administration building with the Human Resources Dept.

While attending Job Corps she volunteered as a reader at Piedmont Elementary school in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Community Service Day. Gabby says, “I enjoyed volunteering in the cafeteria and attending the YWCA Girls Night Out and Human Trafficking event off center.” Her future goals include attending college and majoring in education to become a teacher. Her words of wisdom to Job Corps students, “Stay focused. Don’t give up on your dreams in life.”
