Charleston Job Corps Center supports Army of Hope Gala-May 17, 2018

CJCC Supports Army of Hope Gala 2018, Bryan King, Debra Wolfgang and Tia Welch

The Charleston Job Corps Center operating under Horizons Youth Services attended the Salvation Army of Hope Gala, May 17, 2018 at the Clay Center for Arts & Sciences. The event was the first of its kind for the Salvation Army of Charleston WV. A welcome was given by Area Commander Major Brooks Gilliam. The recognition for the 2018 Others Award was presented to area philanthropist, Marvin Masters. A special bell tribute and video presentation was viewed by the audience. A silent and live auction was held, dinner, live music and dancing.

Staff attending included Bryan King, Training Director, Debra Wolfgang, Career Technical Training Manager and Tia Welch, Business Community Liaison and Salvation Army Advisory Council member. CJCC was a proud sponsor of the event.

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Dept. of Labor that helps young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives through academic and career technical training. The Charleston
Job Corps Center is overseen by the Philadelphia Regional Office.
