The Charleston Job Corps Center (CJCC) kicked-off Job Corps’ 50th Anniversary with a walk down Kanawha Boulevard on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Students and staff were dressed in their customized white 50th Anniversary T-shirts. The group met with Rod Blackstone, Deputy Mayor, at Haddad Riverfront Park to receive a Proclamation from Charleston’s Mayor Danny Jones and the Charleston City Council. The walk concluded at Magic Island with the release of 50 red, white and blue balloons.
