Charleston Job Corps Center’s, Medical Office Support hosts Spring Blood Drive-May 16, 2017

Charleston Job Corps Center’s, Medical Office Support hosted it’s spring blood drive with the American Red Cross, May 16, 2017 in the center gymnasium. The students of MOS promoted the event, scheduled donors, assisted Red Cross staff in all aspects earning work based learning experience and community service hours. The staff and students of CJCC donated 28 pints of blood, which will assist patients in the tri-state area as needs for blood donations rise in the summer months.

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. Job Corps is in 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The Charleston Job Corps Center is overseen by the Philadelphia Regional Office of Job Corps and is operated by Horizons Youth Services.
