Charleston Job Corps “Girl Talks”

Charleston Job Corps “Girl Talks”

Charleston Job Corps held a “Girls Talk” conversation with our female students to discuss female etiquette on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

Our guest speaker was Dr. Cynthia Wesley, OBGYN. of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Wesley is the author of her newly released book titled “Beauty Below”.    She spoke with students regarding personal hygiene, how to properly care for your personal areas as well as when to see your gynecologist.  Mrs. Jamela Brown, Charleston Job Corps’ Director of Career Services, created this platform which allowed students a platform to discuss female issues and concerns for overall better femine care.  The session allowed student to inquire of certain aspects of female well being.  It left our students with pertinant information of what is normal and when to seek professional attention.

The session was very interactive and students were able to get answers to questions they may not have been able to ask their parents.  Each student received a copy of Dr. Wesley’s book and a set of pearls.

Charleston Job Corps would like to thank Dr. Cyn for taking the time to speak with our students and is very happy to have had such a great presentation for our female students.
