Charleston Job Corps Painting Class Gives Building Makeover to Welcome New Manager

Welcoming the introduction of our new Career Technical and Training Manager, Mrs. Megumi Layman, the Charleston Job Corps Center creates a splash with our trade building make-over of the Career and Technical Education building.
Charleston Job Corps Students of the International Union of Paint and Allied Trade (IUPAT), Mehki Faulkner, Alexis Henderson and Jaeonne MIller, took pride in yet an amazing project for hands on experience, problem solving and critical thinking.  The makeover is considered by students to be “Shabby to Chic.”
With this kind of revolutionary participation in modern interior design, an opportunity to transform the atmosphere of learning, affords both the staff and students a cool environment that can be enjoyed in an arena we call the Charleston Job Corps..   An investment of creativity that can be enjoyed by everybody. From HVAC to MOS to carpentry and facility maintenance, the transition would be one to influence collaborative work ethic within the center culture and communications well needed for the continuous learning and career and personal planning operations of the Charleston Job Corps Trade Building.   Big congratulations to these students for making it happen and an amazing welcome to Mrs. Megumi Layman. Can’t wait to see your ripple effects of a life well painted.
