Charleston Job Corps students work internships to gain experience

Aisha McGill, pictured working at her work-based site of Southmoor Hills Apartment Complex, began her internship on November 18, 2019 and works three days a week in the main office.

Under the guidance of the site supervisor, Aisha is being trained to assist individuals interested in rental units through the application process, applying for low income housing vouchers with the state of West Virginia, answering phone calls/ inquiries, greeting guests/ tenants, managing the daily flow of paperwork, and documenting/processing work order to the maintenance team when reported by tenants.

Aisha is an Office Administration trainee and was eager to begin hands on training off-center.
