Charleston Job Corps Center joined 125 Job Corps centers across the country to celebrate the 3^rd annual “National Job Corps Commencement Day” ceremony on Friday, August 23, 2013 to congratulate the Job Corps students who showed Job Corps Works! by completing the program this year. Twenty-five students graduated from the Charleston Job Corps Center. Greetings were made by the local district office of Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito, Senator Jay Rockefeller, and Senator Joe Manchin, Mayor Danny Jones and the Charleston Area Alliance to graduates, family, students, staff and community supporters. Guest speaker for the commencement was WV Secretary of State, Natalie Tennant who told the students “Today we celebrate courage.”
