Clearfield Job Corps Center (CJCC) hosted one of the United Auto Workers (UAW) Industry Advisory Council partners, O’Reilly Auto Parts, for a community professional development training. UAW operates the center’s basic and advanced automotive training programs. The training was attended by 45 of O’Reilly’s community partners, five CJCC UAW instructors, and five lucky CJCC students. Attendees received certifications in the new air conditioning and refrigerant systems that were implemented in 2017. In addition to providing staff with ongoing professional development, the certification provides UAW graduates with even more marketable skills when they complete the program. The center and UAW are excited to continue the partnership with O’Reilly and help community members and CJCC staff and students continue to develop their abilities.
