CLEVELAND JOB CORPS WONDERFUL SURPRISE OF GIVING BACK

Sometimes it’s not who you know, but who knows about you. Cleveland Job Corps Center (CJCC) State Tested Nurse Aide Instructor Jameka Bloom, accompanied by three students, left center on July 28, 2015, with the intention of generating new job development and work based learning opportunities for her students. Bloom had initially intended on visiting a couple of different area business-es; however, their first stop proved to be quite promising.
Bloom and her students entered the Willcare facility with plans to only acquire applica-tions to take back to center. Unexpectedly, the group was met by Virginia Chisolm, Re-cruitment Supervisor/HR Assistant, for Willcare. Bloom communicated that they were from the CJCC and explained the nature of their business.
With excitement, Chisolm shared that she too was a CJCC alumni. Chisolm then sug-gested that the students complete the application while they were there and subsequently, she would interview each of them after they completed an eighty question assessment test. This in turn would assist Chisolm with being able to place a face with a name later on. She is now awaiting reference letters for the three students so that she can plan theirorientations.
Chisolm said she would love to visit the new Cleveland Job Corps Center and to speak with the student body, for she had such fond memories of the old Cleveland Job Corps center. Bloom extended the olive branch to her and told her we would be glad to have her visit. Great job and thank you Ms. Bloom!
