CJCC 2015 IWD SYMPOSIUM

CJCC 2015 IWD SYMPOSIUM

The Cleveland Job Corps Center (CJCC) hosted their third annual International Women’s Day (IWD) Symposium on March 6, 2015, to celebrate and honor the women at CJCC. The theme, “Make It Happen,” was adopted from the National United Nations IWD theme. The symposium was aimed at encouraging the young ladies at the CJCC to continue on the path of economic and personal empowerment. The Breakout Session Speakers and their topics of discussion included; Bryant & Stratton College Dean of Student Services, Paris Lampkin “Blazing Your Own Trail with Education,” CEO & Owner of MyFit Health and Fitness LLC, Sabrina Davis “Strong Mind equals Strong Life,” Retired Educator, Julie Wynne-Martin “Attitude…The Real Difference Maker,” and Urban League of Greater Cleveland, Advocate Counselor, Talicia S. Cooper “Mission 31 Vitality.” Channel5 Anchor Woman, Danita Harris, captivated the audience as she shared her own personal failures and triumphs and how she was determined to “MAKE IT HAPPEN” for her life. It is our hope that each lady left the symposium feeling revitalized, inspired and equipped with new concepts that can assist them.
