Cleveland Job Corps Celebrates 2020 Winter Commencement

The Cleveland Job Corps Center honored forty-six graduates during commencement ceremonies on February 14, 2020. Vivian Morrow, Center Director, welcomed graduates, their friends, and families.
Maurice Stevens, Co-Founder and President of Career Development and Placement Strategies, Inc. (CDPS), a nonprofit organization based in Cleveland, Ohio, delivered the commencement address. He encouraged graduates to strive for excellence and challenge themselves to continue to grow personally and professionally.

“Before I came to Cleveland Job Corps Center, I was about to get kicked out of my second school. I had all but given up on school and wasn’t sure of my future,” admitted Nurse Assistant student Aaliyah Higdon. The recent graduate works at Pleasant Lake Villa as a Home Health Aide. “None of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for the Cleveland Job Corps Center.”
The ceremony concluded with a reception held in the main foyer of the Recreation Center. Graduates and family members visited with instructors and center staff who mentored graduates during their journey. Please join the Cleveland Job Corps Center family of faculty and students in congratulating the 2020 Winter Graduating Class. We salute all their hard work and dedication.
