OPEN HOUSE
The Cleveland Job Corps Center welcomed the public onto its campus with an Open House on August 20, 2014. The turnout, on what began as a wet and dismal day, became a sunny day and was nothing short of remarkable attracting more than 200 guests, including several city officials and community leaders. Guests had the opportunity to tour the campus, socialize with students, visit informa-tional booths and observe the academic and ca-reer technical training programs CJCC has to offer. Everyone in attendance had a chance to enter several drawings that includ-ed awesome prizes, like a pair of Adirondack chairs, a brick mailbox or brick pa-tio, electrical signage, and the option of having a small room or office painted. Several community and business representatives commented on the professional-ism of our trainees, and our prosperous programs. The overall goal of the Open House is to expose the community to the awesome work that is being done at the CJCC. The CJCC family extends a special thanks to everyone who came out to support us and helped make this event a huge success. It is through collective efforts such as these that we can make a positive difference in the lives of young people. We would not be able to do this without you!
