Cleveland Job Corps Fifth District Police Community Relations Award Ceremony

The Cleveland Job Corps Center hosted the Fifth District Police Community Relations Award Ceremony on October 18, 2018. Notables in attendance included: Chief of Police, Calvin D. Williams (Division of Police); Commander, Sammy Morris (Fifth District Police Department); and The Honorable Mayor, Frank Jackson (City of Cleveland).

The Fifth District Police Department’s Community Relation Committee’s mission is to continue to strengthen bonds between the men and women of the Cleveland Division of Police and the citizens they serve through: support of youth and community outreach projects; programs and events; police charities; community policing initiatives; and investment in continued education, training, modernization of equipment, and advanced technology.

The awards ceremony was designed to recognize police and citizens in the following categories: Officers’ Diligence to Serve; Citizen Commendations; Outstanding Community Service by a Business/Organization; Community Relations by a Citizen; Community Service by a Citizen; and City Council Awards.
