On August 8, 2018, Executive Director Pastor, Aaron Phillips, J.D., of the Cleveland Clergy Coalition hosted the groups monthly meeting at the Cleveland Job Corps. More than thirty Pastors were in attend-ance. Center Director, William Houston opened the meeting with a Cleveland Job Corps presentation and then the Pastors engaged in dialogue about church and community affairs.
After their meeting, Cleveland Job Corps’ staff answered questions, handed out Job Corps informational materials and offered tours. “Our young urban adults need to take advantage of opportunities like this,” stated Pastor Phillips. The Pastors showed great interest in the students and the Center. They left their business cards and stated that they would gladly spread the word about Job Corps to their congregations. This was a wonderful outreach event to touch base with some of the most influential Pastors and Bishops in the Cleveland area, and to help promote the Cleveland Job Corps,” stated Harriet Hadley, Business Community Liaison.
