After graduating from C.A.S.T.L.E. High School, Terrace Chatman-Campbell enrolled in the Cleveland Job Corps Center where she earned her State Tested Nurse Aide certification. Although she was working she wanted to further her career in the healthcare field, so she decided to re-enroll in Job Corps. “I wanted to take advantage of the other career opportunities that Job Corps had to offer,” said Terrace.

In a little over six months, Terrace earned her pharmacy technician, health insurance portability and accountability act, ServSafe, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automated external defibrillator, and first aid credentials. She plans to earn her certified pharmacy technician CPhT credentials as well. Her advice to new pharmacy technician students is to take the trade seriously and pay attention.

Terrace started classes this fall at Central School of Practical Nursing and feels that the pharmacology training she received in the pharmacy technician class from Job Corps will give her an advantage with the pharmacology part of her LPN training. Upon completing her LPN training Terrace plans to move out of Ohio and travel the world. Her favorite quote is from Frank Ocean, “work in silence and let your success be the noise.”
