Cleveland Job Corps The “Rosie’s,”…We Can Do It!

On August 2, 2017, “Rosie’s” a group of Cleveland Job Corps Center students and staff dedicated to campaigning to recruit more women in the construction trades launched its first event. Laura Mineff, a contractor and award-winning interior and exterior designer, delivered an inspiring message to the Rosie’s. She shared an inspirational message with the students through her life story leading from the start of her career as a geriatric nurse, through her divorce and raising her four children as a single mother, to redefining herself as a design build contractor. “Always believe in yourself and be inquisitive,” said Ms. Mineff. She then offered to mentor the ladies and told them they could contact her at any time.

Laura is the owner of Array Design Studio and LJM Construction Company and founded Environmental Well Being of Aging. She encourages her team of certified interior designers, CAD designers, design assistants and contractors to assist clients with dwelling in the best environment for their emotional, physical and professional lifestyles. She is a member of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), BNI and Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Cleveland and has been recognized with five stars from HOUZZ. Some of Laura’s projects include Crocker Park, Eaton Place, a hotel in Korea, and a castle in Germany.
