Cleveland Job Corps Virtual Workforce Council Meeting

On October 21, 2021, Cleveland Job Corps Center Director Cathy Williams welcomed thirty attendees to the virtual semi-annual Center Workforce Council meeting. Representatives from University Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, NEON Health Center, International Masonry Institute, Home Builders Institute, United Brotherhood of Carpentry, and Cleveland Job Corps staff were in attendance.
The Center Workforce Council is composed of local business leaders and skilled professionals aimed at supplying valuable labor market insight concerning the center’s career technical training (CTT) programs.
Career Technical Training Manager Kylene Jennings presented information detailing trade offerings, center rankings, and the present state of the center. Business Community Liaison Melonie Harrell led a roundtable to examine pandemic drawbacks and post-pandemic policies and protocols.
Students and staff at the Cleveland Job Corps Center would like to thank all members of the Center Workforce Council for taking time out of their busy schedules to aid the center in providing a well-rounded curriculum for students and preparing them for enriching careers.
