Cleveland Jobcorps Student of the week

Arriving at the Cleveland Job Corps Center (CJCC) on April 17, 2015, from Oak Park, Michigan, 19 year-old Ro-derick Stamps did not have a high school diploma or any form of career technical training. But, what Stamps did have was an enthusiasm to learn and ambition.
Convinced that he could pass the GED exam, Stamps de-cided to circumvent the High School Diploma program so that he could focus solely on the Pharmacy Technician cer-tification. He passed the GED exam in July 2015 and then began studying vehemently on his trade courses. Stamps has passed both the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam (PTCB) and the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) with flying colors. He began an internship at Walgreens Pharmacy on Monday, October 26, 2015, and is ex-pected to complete the Pharmacy Technician trade in November. Roderick is an excep-tional student and has aspirations to attend college to become a Pharmacist
