Denison job Corps Gives Away a Car

Friday August 26, Denison Job Corps observed National Commencement Day. It will be a day that will be remembered for a long time by sixty seven students who earned the right to walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. A very exciting part of graduation is when graduates, who have registered to win a car, wait to hear the name of the lucky student who gets to drive home from the ceremony. A partnership with Adam’s Motor Company of Denison, IA has allowed this to happen for the last several of years. Bob Adam’s owner of the dealership recognizes the value of the training at Denison Job Corps. He works with the center to find just the right car. After the car is delivered, the Painting students repair the body and give the car a fresh coat of paint. This shiny machine is parked on the campus. Many students dream of having their name on the registration. After a short motivational message, Mr. Adams makes the presentation of the car. He builds the suspense for the students before he announces the lucky winner. After the student is identified the keys are presented. What a great day. With a full tank of gas and insurance for the first month, the Leigha was able to drive home from graduation in reliable transportation.
